Mental Illness Awareness Week

Last week, NAMI members (including NAMI Monroe County) sponsored events across the country as part of Mental Illness Awareness Week.  We enlist each other in the fight against stigma as we educate others and raise awareness for individuals and families living with mental illness.

This year, you can “go green” to help shine a light on mental illness in your home, online, or in your community by wearing mental illness awareness colors, showing your support online and by joining an event to start a conversation and help inspire hope.

Every year millions of Americans face the reality of living with a mental health condition.  Every year we fight stigma, provide support, educate the public, and advocate for equal care.  Every year the movement grows stronger.

Last week, in honor of MIAW, NAMI Monroe County sponsored an event in TWO locations.

With your gift, you can make a difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness.  You can help the movement grow stronger!  Supporting NAMI Monroe County with a donation enables you to make a difference by providing the opportunity for hope and recovery.  Click here to donate now!  Thank you for all you do!
